Random pictures of the week.....Around Dubai with family..

:: Jumeirah Beach/Burj Al Arab(world's one and only 7 star hotel)

::It was a windy day and the wave was really high..

:: Madinat Jumeirah/Souq -Market area

The souk is a colorful and vibrant market or part of a market in an Arabian city. Lively trading culture, animated, interactive - this defines Souk Madinat Jumeirah.    Meandering paths lead visitors through a bazaar-like atmosphere in which open fronted shops and intimate galleries spill onto the paved walkways. The sounds of craftsmen and women at work mingle with the aroma from street cafes and boutique restaurants.

:: Desert Safari
Shuttle bus took us out to a desert area and  the SUV picked us up to the desert camp
through the hilly sand dunes

::Sand dune ride was so much fun...our Iranian driver was awesome! We all had a great time!
My nieces really enjoyed camel rides..
Belly Dancing...

:: Tanoura Dance - Tanoura dance is a form of folkloric dance
The long swirling colorful skirts that the performer wear make spectacular glowing patterns as they spinning around in circle..

OK..now to the Malls......

Merry Christmas from desert......

Mary did you know......

Our church had a really nice lessons and carols on the Christmas Eve service.  The boys had a special time singing with other kids in the church but I didn't take my camera so no pictures...anyway, this song spoke to my heart as I was listening..

"Mary Did You Know"

[Originally written by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene]

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

Mary did you know.. Ooo Ooo Ooo

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.
