Boys' very first ice skating experience...........

in the DESERT:) ironically!.   We took the boys out to ice skating today in the Dubai Mall.  

Caleb did really good since he knows how to ride a roller blade, Ben had a hard time 

moving forward but he did good later on holding James's hand.  

It was really good treat for such a hot day.

Since it was during the day of Ramadan, it was not busy at all! 

After ice skating, we watched the fountain show right next to the tallest building 

in the world..Burj Khailfa

literally it was like sitting inside of sauna! LOL

James and I are reading a book about food caused diseases and it is really a shocking!   


We always tried to eat healthy, eat more natural, but at the same time, we want to pay better attention to what we eat and read the label more carefully.   We are going to start with eliminating sugar, wheat, gluten, yeast as much as possible.  The other day, I went to the Organic Food and Cafe at the Dubai mall and got some food to try. 

James fixed yeast and gluten free buckwheat pancakes with blueberries and raspberries this morning and it was delicious! Kids liked brown rice (I have been using white rice for my Korean meal), and brown rice pasta, and the boys eat fruits and vegetables really well, so I think we are good to go!  

Last couple days in Korea....

 :: Went to visit a friend on the military post.   

It was weird that we had to wait for my friend to sign us in..

since I no longer hold a military I.D.

드시고 싶은거 엄마랑 사드시고 그러세요.

건강하게 오래 오래 사셔야죠...

Saying good bye to my Mom at the airport...she cried...we all cried...

엄마, 우리 보내놓고 또 많이 섭섭했지...나도 그렇게 엄마 공항에서 

보내고나서 마음이 안 좋았어...애들도 울고, 나도 울고....

날도 덥고 비도 오고 우리 해먹이느라

많이 힘들었지...나중에 두바이와서 편하게 맛있는것도 많이 먹고 운동도

하고 오래 있다가 가세요....

엄마 아빠 사랑해요...

We were well spoiled and welcomed by James when we got back...

Finally, we had a nice time outside with a nice weather.   My sister had a get together/picnic with her college friends today at the Gapsa near Gaeryong Mountain, and we went along!  We had a nice lunch there, and went to a creek to play in the afternoon...water was so cold and refreshing! 

I was so glad that finally, the boys and I had a chance to enjoy outdoor activity and cool summer before we go back to HOT Dubai. Unbelievably, we had so much rain during our visit...
