Field Trip to Cultural Center

We went a field trip to the Sheikh Mohammad Centre of Cultural Understanding today.

It was part of school social study to have better understanding of the local culture.

(We had to take our shoes off and I had to cover my hair with black scarf to go in to the mosque)

After mosque tour, we had arabic food brunch/tea time at the traditional wind tower house.

I was charging my camera this morning and then walked out without it! so there aren't many pictures..

but we had a great time learning about the local culture/food.

Atlantis Aquaventure water park.....

Last Thursday, James was off work (Comp day for UAE holidays he had to work) and I found this awesome 30% off deal on Atlantis (it is the hotel on the man-made Palm Island) water park.  

We had so much fun floating through rapid and torrent river and with some exciting water roller coasters:)

::Leap of Faith

James came down to 27.5m tall and 61m long, from the top of the Ziggurat the Leap of Faith into a transparent tunnel and through a shark-filled lagoon, where guitar sharks, bow mouth sharks, white tip, black tip and grey reef sharks all reside.

It only took 3 seconds 

:: On the way home..passing by 7 star hotel Burj Al Arab...

We all slept really well that night!!!
