Off to Khasab, Oman Dhow trip..It took about 2 1/2 hours to the Oman border, and this time, we had to actually go across to border through Oman/UAE immigration.
Land across from Khasab is Iran
Khasab means fertility, is an old-fashioned town situated at the base of Wadi Khasab and is the capital of Musandam. It overlooks the crystal clear water of the Gulf of Oman and the passages of Hormuz. (The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway separating the Arabian Gulf from the Gulf of Oman and the North Arabian Sea, is only about 40 miles wide, and is 34 miles wide at its narrowest point. By far the world's most important oil chokepoint, the Strait consists of 2-mile wide channels for inbound and outbound tanker traffic, as well as a 2-mile wide buffer zone.)

::Khasab is famous for Dolphin chasing! and we were so excited to see them closer..
This small village is in the ocean, middle of no where on the bottom of the rock mountain,, I learned that one family, 5 people live there only using small boat for transportation to the main land. At least, they have electricity but what a life it could be!
::Here on the way back to the port after fun, relaxing day, I saw this bird..perhaps doing his yoga? lol
