:: Stayed for 5 nights at the self catering Anse Forbans Chalet,in Mahe (main island):: Rode the ferry Cat Cocos over to Praslin(pronounced as Pra-lin) and stayed for 3 nights at the Paradise Sun....truly it was a paradise:) lol.... Both places were right next to the beach...it was great for the boys...

:: Drove around pretty much the whole Mahe Island(only takes about 3 hours) and Praslin following the coast lines/beaches, stopped at the local restaurants along the way and ate lots of sea food/creole food (there is ZERO western franchise/restaurant in Seychelles)
:: James drove on the left side of the road sitting on the right side of the car...roads in Seychelles are very narrow, curvy, and old...but local buses drive like crazy!!!!!
:: Visited the mission ruins (Seychelles a History of Slavery: Once upon a time the shores of the Seychelles offered shelter to hundreds of liberated african slaves. The "Mission Ruins", the Sanctuary where the children of freed african slaves stayed)

:: Visited Le Jardin Du Roi Spice Garden (Le Jardin Du Roi Spice Garden is in keeping with the original French tradition of the 18th century spice trade. From its location atop hills and across valleys, the garden boasts rows of vanilla vines, citronelle, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and other spices, as well as medicinal and endemic plants that offer a real experience of "nature at its best".)
:: Went swimming and snorkeling a lot on many beautiful beaches James and the boys saw some beautiful corals .....Caleb and Ben both were so brave and had a great experience.
:: Ate lots of tropical fruits.....
:: Went to sleep listening to gentle waves every night......
:: Saw the Southern Cross (Crux)
It was fun packed vacation and it wasn't like we were running around all the time...simply, we have enjoyed every moment of it! It was wonderful vacation..our first REAL vacation!
